November 1, 2012 – EYE PRO, Inc., world leader in eyewear and makers of WINK-EASE, VIEWkeepers, Fresh-Ease, and Wink-Ease Dark, has updated its award-winning training.  The 30-minute training covers all aspects of eye protection, including the new FDA recommendations for eye protection for sunless and FDA recommendations for red light therapy.
“Our new training ‘Surviving the Eyewear Jungle’  is designed for salons to train their staff on how to convince customers to wear eye protection while tanning, as well as covering all aspects of eye protection when changing lamps, getting a sunless spray or using red light therapy,” explained Brenda Fishbaugh, EYE PRO president.

“We call the training ‘survival training’ — because it’s a jungle out there – and you need tips to help you survive!” said Jackie DeWald, EYE PRO office manager.  “We offer a dozen survival tips to the salon staff who is unsure of how to survive all the aspects of cleaning eyewear, state laws and selling goggles,” she continued.  “I predict salons will LOVE it!”

Each salon completing the training will receive educational materials to support the information learned online.  Included is EYE PRO’s 8-page “Indoor Tanner’s Guide to Eye Protection” with a color vision test, information on losing night vision and how to avoid raccoon eyes.  Also included — a laminated counter mat showing eight types of eye damage possible from tanning without properly cleaned eyewear to convince tanners of the necessity of wearing eye protection.
